From education research in Lima to building 0-to-1 AI products in the US. Here's how I got here.
Experience

Product Manager, WGU Labs

Sep 2022 to Present | Remote

A five-person team had stalled on an AI portfolio, and when they were reassigned I was told to carry it with AI instead, with fractional support from a UX researcher and an engineer. I built the operating system I ran it on, took the work from discovery through an evidence-based pivot to a 12-week pilot, and tested our own AI product hard enough to publish what it couldn't do. Leadership wrapped it in June 2026.

Senior to Lead Learning Experience Designer, WGU Labs

Jun 2021 to Sep 2022 | Remote

A public research university was moving its nursing programs to competency-based education and nobody had worked out how far they had to go. I mapped all 93 courses against a new national framework of ten domains, quantified the gaps, and used Universal Design for Learning to build the train-of-trainers series that carried about 40 faculty through the change. Promoted from Senior to Lead in 15 months.

Learning and Development Specialist, Berdon LLP

Jun 2020 to Jun 2021 | New York, NY

A 200+ module professional education library served accountants, partners and tax attorneys, and every year tax law changed enough to make parts of it wrong. I owned the annual refresh and the standard the whole library was held to, and I grew from supporting the subject-matter-expert partnerships to running them. I also contributed to a firm-wide compliance tracker that confirmed license renewals across three training channels.

Product Owner, Innova Schools

Nov 2017 to Jul 2018 | Lima, Peru

Leadership asked for reporting dashboards. Talking to users showed the ask wasn't the need: the problem was upstream, in how data got entered under deadline. I cut the dashboard and shipped a data-entry tool that saved automatically and worked offline. Input errors fell 30% across 30,000 transactions and task time fell 10%. With 2,000 daily users across 20+ locations, I ran train-of-trainers through five people so the rollout didn't depend on me.

Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Innova Schools

Mar 2016 to Oct 2017 | Lima, Peru

Four learning platforms were running across 20+ locations with no agreed way to judge them, Khan Academy among them. I designed the evaluations, tracking adoption, completion and frequency of use alongside learning outcomes, because usage isn't comprehension. My recommendations were the evidence leadership used to decide what to scale and what to shut off.

Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, Innova Schools

Mar 2014 to Feb 2016 | Lima, Peru

There was no agreed methodology for assessing the network's innovation pilots. I helped a small team build one with learning outcomes as the primary criterion, and it became the starting point for the platform evaluations I later owned. I coordinated field data collectors and moderated the qualitative research myself, in Spanish: observation, interviews and focus groups.
